Meet Kristy Raines, born Kristy Ann Rasmussen, in Oakland California, in The United States of America, on April 9, 1957. She is an English writer who has become internationally known.

Kristy has written Poetry and Short stories for many years and just recently decided to publish her first book of Romantic Poetry. She has a very unique way of writing which is filled with her personality and her loving nature. Kristy's writing is emotional and deep. Her favorite genres are Romantic Poetry and Children's Fantasy, Kristy appreciates the romantic writings from writers around the world.. She has become somewhat familiar with the Arabic language, which she started taking a class in and hopes to return to her studies so she can translate one of her children's books into Arabic, called, "Princess and the Lion".

Kristy's also writes on serious subjects such as spirituality, domestic violence, anti-war, and loss. But regardless what she writes, you can bet it will come from her heart.

Kristy has just published her first book titled, “The Passion Within Me, Volume One" which is a book of passionate and emotional verses of love, and there will be other Volumes to follow containing other subjects about life, family and lessons learned in life.

Kristy has also written an anthology of Epistolary poetry with a Prominent Romance Poet from India, Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai, titled, "I Cross My Heart From East to West", which she is very excited about and hopes to launch it in the near future. Kristy has two fantasy, (children/young adult) books, titled, "Rings, Things and Butterfly Wings", which she hopes to finish soon, along with the English version, titled, "Princess and The Lion". Kristy is also working on her Autobiography called, “My Very Anomalous Life.”

Kristy has earned many awards globally, not only for her writing, but also for her humanitarian work, and raises awareness for the Rohingya genocide.
