Board of Directors

The Diamond Valley Writers' Guild is managed by a volunteer board of directors elected from the active membership. The Board of Directors establishes policies and directives governing business and programs of the Guild and delegates to the appropriate board officers and Guild members, subject to the provisions of the Bylaws, authority and responsibility to see that the policies and directives are appropriately followed. Positions in RED are up for election at the October 18, 2025 general meeting.

3rd Terms ARE NOT be eligible to run for re-election.
You MUST be a guild member in good standing to vote or run in an election!

President

Michelle Bassett 3rd Term

Presides over Board meetings and General meetings and is the primary point of contact and legal contact for the guild.

Vice-President

Kevin Kindle 2nd Term

The Vice-President role is the same as the President (minus the legal contact), but presides over General and Board meetings when the President is absent, or for elections when the President is being decided.

Treasurer

Jessica Bruce 2nd Term

The Treasurer role is responsible for maintaining bank accounts, depositing memberships and filing taxes and paperwork for our non-profit status.

Secretary

Sofia Barber 2nd Term

The Secretary role is responsible for recording the minutes of meetings and disseminating them to the rest of the board and the webmaster (for inclusion on the website).

Member-at-Large

Lynette Tucker 3rd Term

 

The Member-at-Large role is responsible for member outreach and being the voice of the members at the Board meetings.

Diamond Valley Writers' Guild is a community for beginning writers to established authors. Our base is Southwest Riverside County, California, but we have members and participants from all over the United States, and even a few who reside in other countries.

 

DVWG has been a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization since 2016, offering valuable resources, networking opportunities, great speakers, and a forum for members to share inspiration and create a community with fellow writers.
