John J. McBrearty is a retired Lt. Colonel with over 32 years of military service. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy and College (AA), Temple University (BA). American Public University (MA). John served as an Assistant Professor of Military Science at California State University and Claremont McKenna College.

To date, John has published over a dozen books.

Upon his retirement, John was recognized for excellence by President Barack Obama.
