Kristy Ann Raines, born Kristy Rasmussen on April 9, 1957 in Oakland, California in the United States of America, is a very passionate poet and writer and known for her unique style of writing in international literary circles.

Kristy's writing is very versatile, from fantasy and romance, to serious subjects such as, spirituality,domestic violence, Anti-War and Human Rights. She enjoys writing Romantic and Fantasy . She has a love for conventional and unconventional poetry. Her favorite style of writing is her own, which has a very interesting mixture of fantasy with reality. She writes with deep emotion. Kristy has recently published her first solo poetry book titled, “The Passion Within Me”. She has two fantasy children/young adult books titled, "Rings, Things and Butterfly Wings", which she hopes to get published soon, along with another book called,"Princess and The Lion". She is also working on her Autobiography called, “My Very Anomalous Life”, and writes children’s short stories.

Kristy is writing a tetralogy of poetry, “I Cross My Heart from East to West with prominent Romance Poet in India, Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai, "I Cross My Heart From East to West". Volumes I - V will launch during 2025, with the first one launching in March. The Duo of Kumar and Raines, have become well known for writing over 230 Epistolary Poems together and were named more than once as the King and Queen of Romantic Collaborations together.

Kristy’s love for all people is apparent in her everyday life as well as in her writing.

Kristy has received awards for her poetry and writing, and has been published in many literary publications and magazines globally. She is an Admin for FB groups, “Motivational Strips” and “Chaucer's Square”.

Kristy Raines was one of winners in Classical Poetry of The Rahim Karim World Prize 2023, was one of the 100 poets Internationally to receive the the India Independence Day Global Literary Honors by Motivational Strips and The Gujarat Sahitya Academy in India in 2022, chosen after an exhaustive evaluation owing to their literary contribution, is one of the Participants and was entered in The Guinness World Records in 2023 in the “Hyperlink Poem”, and has gained many other awards from different countries around the world.. Kristy has been published in many literary groups and in many publications such as Punjabe writer weekly, Elite Magazine Tunisia, Williwash World Press, Wordsmith International Editorial, Aghareed Literary Magazine, Polis Magazine Greece, and Azahar Revista Poetica Spainas, and Synchronized Chaos, and Sim’s Library in Los Angeles, to name a few, as well as many group anthologies.
